Hello everyone,

the very high first quarter Moon which us northerners have on spring induced me to plan a session with the 12" Cass. Attached my result on Ptolemaeus, with ASI174MM, Barlow 1.5 Siebert Optics and G filter. No ADC here.

This crater is often imaged with Alphonsus and Arzachel but it is quite noticeable in itself, in particular for the countless craterlets spreaded on the floor.

Nice image. I find the series of crater at the 2 o'clock position very fascinating.

Awesome shot!   Yes Ptolemaeus is wonderful subject.  I like to see how many craterlets I can resolve in it's floor.  Thanks for sharing a very nice image of the crater!

Super image, Luc!

Is that a catena I see at 2 o'clock outside Ptolemaeus?

Clear skies,

Aubrey.

Flt, you hopefully mean Vincenzo :)
Yeah it's a nice chain of craterlets there, there are so many I did not notice them.

Pardon me, Vincenzo!

Sorry about that.

It seems that catena is unnamed.

To its east we have the 24 X 20 km crater Muller with its satellite craters A, O and F.

Muller F appears to be the most easterly crater of our anonymous catena.

Once again super image, Vincenzo!

Aubrey.
