???? Mine are out in wet dew conditions all the time.  By morning, the scope more than often is totally drenched.

If you care to watch, I found this video that helps explain it better, I did not know about the exterior graded as per 4 X 8 sheet but definitely a plus

for the applied purpose don't ya think.

Even the 5x5 Baltic Birch is superior to the particleboard Dob bases commonly sold, exterior grade or not.
