Hi. guys!

 

Wanting to buy my first star tracker for wide angle milkyway photos mostly ( probably get into some deeper space stuff when I get bored.

Researching star trackers. Is there any difference between these or are they exactly the same with the same features/accessories?

Ones from the US and ones from AU so there is a price difference but the US one is still cheaper with conversion + delivery due to the US dollar being a bit low at the moment.
So wanted to check if they are def exactly the same. The descriptions have different . This would be my first tracker so the descriptions and lingo is a bit overwhelming for me

You may also want to look into the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer or the Az-GTi trackers too...

Thanks Yeh I was originally going to get the Star Adventurer but the Skyguider Pro is smaller and I would prefer that to save space in my bag. If I can carry more in one bag the better

 

I just want to check if the 2 skyguider's in the above links are the same with same accessories etc

Of the 2 links you have posted, personally I would go with the one from B&H. They are very reputable. The price they have listed that is under $500 is pretty much what all the other big astro retailers charge. 

I could not find anything that would make it to be over $800 on the other site.

Also, I've never heard of Bintel.

BTW - where are you located?

Bintel is a well known Australian retailer. I personally don’t think you can go wrong ordering from either one. Might even be better to order from a domestic retailer as there is less of a chance for something to go wrong during transit and such.

I didn't realize he was in Australia. That makes a big difference.

I don't know about the currency exchange rate, shipping and different taxes...

Well the only reason I am looking at B&H is because even after calcuating the conversion + delivery I still save $200

 

The US dollar has gone down pretty low

With taxes and shipping it costs 526 US =$664 AUD

 

ill still be saving about $180 AUD

They do appear to include the same stuff. I’m surprised there is that big a difference.

It has 4 tracking rates.  1/2 speed,  Normal speed for stars.  A solar speed and a Lunar speed.

 

It can be tricky to get polar aligned due to the base/wedge being kinda difficult.
