I'm really impressed by the last episode 113 Big aperture Observing. The guest Bill Weir was really interesting. I was especially interested in some of the live events that he had observed.
I think that's what the AAP is going to provide our community that we had not seen before is the insight given by actual non specialist astronomers (For instance astro-photographers) into the wider hobby of amateur astronomy. With added emphasis on fun.
Like many technical hobbies we just need to lighten up a bit, and not worry that we don't have the latest and greatest whatever thingy. I think Shane and Chris get this balance right.
