I earlier translated a Swedish text to English about old observatories in Sweden.

A couples of days ago we by mistake found three old observatories in the forest when we looking for ancient Swedish history, viking era. One of the observatories is the Tamm's observatory in the text.

I took some photos of the observatories and added text with information about them:

It was already in the plan to visit Tamm's observatory in the future, but I thought it was much more North.

Lucky day :-)

Lars

Very interesting. And kudos for preserving this observatory history.

I will write to Uppsala University and ask for more information about the observatory. Maybe after the Corona I can make a visit inside the buildings.

The last 9 years it's a museum.

I talked to my friend Gunnar, he told me that he visted this observatory in the 1970s. That was the oldest observatory on top of the hill. Already then it was empty.
