Those are just not good references. Where are the Eskimo Nebula and Hubble’s Variable Nebula? Two March bests. Anyway in the northern hemisphere March is best known as the last good month for Orion and the beginning of galaxy season starting with the Leo Triplet in the East. Get and learn observing software. Stellarium is free, great on desktop and ok for mobile. It’s hard to beat Sky Safari on mobile. Try turning off open clusters to better see everything else.
