Nearly a year's progress on M81

About a year ago I got into the hobby of astronomy right when the pandemic hit. Within a month, I had decided to get into astrophotography as well. July of last year I attempted to capture my first galactic targets M81 and M82 with an Evostar 72, a T3i, and my new SkyGuider Pro. Well, it was kind of a disaster see the photo below:

Regardless of the quality I was very proud of the image and last night, I got the opportunity to try this target again with my new gear. 

 

The following image was taken over the course of three days with these acquisition details:

Camera: ASI294MM Pro

Scope: AT115ED

Guide Camera: ASI120MM Mini OAG

Mount: iOptron GEM45

 

Lum: 40 x 180s

Red: 12 x 300s

Green: 12 x 300s

Blue: 12 x 300s

Ha: 12 x 300s
