Swift Model 820 60x800 refractor , old Looking OTA with accessories & wood box , the old girl is a little rough , one EP is cracked & is held together with electrical tape. This once fine scope needs a good home & TLC , to live again. No mount or tripod shown ... Hope a CNer jumps. No makers mark visible. PU only San Diego ... https://www.shopgood.../Item/120825968

Pick up only, so that will narrow down the field.

Only in Cali, never in MI

Not exactly. The Dynascope name carried into the RV-6 along with a variety of transitions.  The posted one is a lot of scope, but that is a lot of money for a 6".

Ford Motor Company made Fords and Lincolns (still do). The RV-6 was their Ford, the Dynascope was the Lincoln. Chevys and Caddies, same deal. I love those old Dynascopes, from 4” and up! They were beautiful scopes!

That one has been around, on and off for some time. They’re asking a thousand dollars too much. That’s why it’s still around.

How do you transport something like that, hire a flatbed trailer?

Rent a trailer or small flatbed and move/haul it yourself or hire a flatbed truck to haul it. Loading/unloading on site may be the trickier part.

It's a Dynascope. I had the same scope back in 1981. Made in the 50's and early 60's. Also had the 8" version with the bell pier.

I don’t think you could put it on a flat bed.  Anything wider than 10 foot requires a lead and trailing vehicle, and maybe a police escort, depending on the state.  You would have to sit it on end somehow which would make it just 5 foot wide.  You woul need some kind of frame for it.

It's the deluxe model. Bigger finder, bigger mount.

I'm truly digging the Dyascope.

Sadly, the owner values it more.

Not local to me but I could not justify the cost of it was.

Am I nuts?
