I have been having extraordinary bad luck getting any viewing in. My last good opportunity was the worm moon and I fell asleep and couldn't be woken up..frown.gif

I've tried to catch the planets in the morning but the fog always rolls in right in front of them. Now it's nothing but cloudy weather.

You are not alone.

These are photo files from my Moon observation sessions last year:

and these are observations that the weather has allowed me to do in the same period January-May this year:

Yikes. I wish you clear skies the rest of the year to make up for it.

Thanks, the same to you! It's raining for me today and it probably won't stop - so maybe from tomorrow :-)

I’m dealing with family and legal issues lately that keep me traveling back and forth between here and California a couple times a month. When that’s over I’ll start observing again.

It's been a ratty winter and moist springtime in Germany. Temps way below average, icy winds, lots of rain. Been daydreaming of a roadtrip to Cabo. Lots of whales, dark skies, balmy nights. What am I doing here?

I was in Germany and Prague on this date exactly 2 years ago. It was so rainy and cold it was difficult to enjoy the trip. I understand why you didn’t observe. My excuse for tonight - tequila shots! lol.gif

Not Jupiter as there was clouds. But thrilled to say the 18" did great on Jupiter this week and was just getting warmed up at 400x. I could a lighter shade of pink inside the great red spot.  Just think what better seeing will do at 800x.
