wondering.. what size is the back threade of this 6 inch, M42? M48? smaller? larger?

i want to add focuser with ASI-2600MC to use it for dso photography.. it's possible?

if the back connection of this tube is less then M42 (size of the 2600MC connection) it will make black edeges for sure...

anyone know some details about it? didn't find anywhere...

The Manual says it comes with a "SCT Adapter - SC Thread to 1.25” Accessory Adapter"

 

That implies it has the standard Meade SCT threads on the back, as on their 8" and larger SCTs.

 

So the 1.25" adapter is probably too small, so here's a SCT to M42 Adapter:

I have the LX80 version of this scope and it has a standard SCT thread on the back. I use a 2” visual back on mine with a 2” nosepiece on my camera. The ACF optics are fantastic!

Best to get into the habit of using threaded connections for imaging, instead of visual backs in which the camera can move while imaging.

Threaded fittings are a great way to make a secure, low profile connection between the camera and telescope, but in 53 years of imaging I have only used them once. I suspect that's because I mix'n match components so much and it's easy to use standard 1.25" and 2" filters.

There are lots of right ways to do things, which is one thing that makes this hobby so much fun!
