Hi Folks!

I'm new to this forum but I already found tones of very interesting stuff.

I'm french, living in Italy, but fascinating with astrophotography, that I just started a few months ago.

That was it for the little introduction!

I decided to purchase an ASI 294MC Pro that I will be using with a Skywatcher 150/750 and I have a few questions about the set-up/filters.

First of all, I saw that an IR-cut filter is highly recommended with this type of camera. But I have a IDAS LPS-P3 Light Pollution Suppression Filter that seems to do the job as well.

IR cut :

IDAS LPS-P3 :

Could you please confirm me that I just need the IDAS?

Then, regarding the set-up.

Do you think it's better as below, putting the IDAS filter in the Drawer and the Baader MPCC Mark iii Coma corrector between the T2-M48 and the telescope :

Or as below, with both the Baader MPCC Mark iii Coma corrector and the IDAS between the T2-M48 and the telescope :

What do you think?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Bonjour Charly,

Bienvenu dans le groupe.

Yes, your Idas filter will replace the ir cut filter.

As for setup;

Scope/Corrector/Filter drawer/Camera.  It's better to have

the filter as close as possible to the camera as in the first example.

Merci beaucoup, Alain !

I could not expect a clearer answer, that's perfect.

Thanks a lot
