NGC 5907 is a 10 mag. Spiral Galaxy in the constellation Draco. It lies 56 million light years from our solar system. It has a diameter of 183,000 light years.

This Galaxy reminds me of NGC 4565 The famous Needle Galaxy. The second evening of my capture of this target was plagued by many high clouds. I discarded several subs because of this. I probably should have thrown out more but I wanted to get at least 6 hours. Seeing 7/10.

A real nice image Mike.  Nice sharp stars, great details, galaxy colors and processing.  I can make out 2 other galaxies in the image.

Between imaging and processing I don't think you actually sleep. wink.gif   Or you must have 2 imaging setups.

Mike,

Great image! Sorry to say that I'm getting slightly jealous of you. Here in the midwest, it seems that everytime we enter a dark cycle the weather goes to crap. I have been trying to get down to my observatory to image for a week, but, even when it is clear during the day, it starts to cloud up every evening. I'm getting frustrated!!

Great image Mike, a lot of detail in the galaxy!!

Indeed looks similar to the needle galaxy.

Stay well,

Mert

I'm so sorry to hear that Ron☹️ It happens to everyone at times, just not this time for me! Lol!

I really hope it clears for you so you can get some imaging time.
