I recently purchased a used Orion Parsec 8300M and I am having a hard time setting it up. As far as I can tell, the ASCOM driver for the Parsec is 32bit. After failing to make it work on the 64bit version of N.I.N.A, I downloaded the 32bit version and was still unable to connect the camera. The error is as follows:

"Unable to connect camera. Retrieving the COM class factory for the component with CLSID {F11CF8B4-18E9-4CA1-8676-0-D3D31BAD7D7} failed due to the following error: 8007007e"

I have enabled 32bit applications on my 64bit computer but the error does not disappear.

The only way I was able to connect the camera was through Maxim DL, which has a dedicated driver for the Parsec. As I do not have the budget to purchase Maxim, I have to figure it out somewhere else.

Did anyone have a similar problem?

Best,

André
