Had the opportunity to image late in the afternoon. Seeing was 0.5" per meteoblue, the best number I have seen to date for my location. I now think my local seeing environment is poor because the conditions didn't appear better than average. Then again, a 50mm aperture produces an Airy disc of 3.3" for 656.28 nm. So maybe this is near the instrument limit.

The proms were beautiful today. In particular, the looping complex near the southwest limb was large and impressive. This is probably the best set of prominences around the disc I've observed in my (very) short tenure. I would have loved to make an animation, but was short on time.

Looks great -- I especially like the close-up of the proms!

I pulled out my PST today and saw those prominences, had to get some images. I did this with my asi120mcs and the PST. What do you image with?

Very nice images.  The Sun was very active, which means of course clouds in my area!  Thanks for sharing with us clouded in folk.
