I checked the GONG this morning and saw some interesting prom activity. Seeing was better than average so I decided to brave the pollen for a quick observing & imaging session. I used a Lunt LS50 DS with a ZWO ASI178MM camera to capture 1,000 frames and stacked the best 25% in AS!3. Additional processing in ImPPG and Photoshop.

Great work! I feel your pain with the pollen

I cringe watching it collect on my objective. Had to blast it with my air blower every few minutes. At least the pine pollen season seems to be over with -- now we're dealing with oak pollen.

Thanks for posting!

Thanks! We've had a rainy spring as well so I grab a chance to get out whenever we get a sunny day.

Nice looking disks, Scott!

Thanks!

Thanks, Roberto -- it was the most prom activity I've seen in the past 2 weeks. Hopefully a sign of more to come!

Fantastic images. I haven't dug my solar scope out in a bit and I was actually think to drag it out when you were apparently imaging and I failed to do so. I'm obviously regretting that now!

Thanks! I wasn't planning to take mine out that day -- pollen has been bad -- but when I saw the prom activity on the GONG I couldn't resist!
