Hi, just a basic question,
I have a fully modified Canon 600D DLSR camera.
I shoot the images in RAW through a telescope.
The question is:
Do i need to set up a custom white balance or can i just leave the white balance as standard and take the images?
I have read that you should set a custom white balance and also read that it isn't needed.
I take the images through Astrophotography tool.
I did set up a custom white balance by getting a sheet of A4 printer paper and while the sun was out too a photo of that, then used that image as my custom white balance.
But thinking now, I possibly don't even need a custom white balance.
Only really asking as i have been thinking when you take flat frames, ( just a white t-shirt over the telescope lens ) the flat color is going to be very different between a custom white balance and a standard white balance with the modified DLSR
Sorry if that reads a tad confusing.
But any advice would be appreciated.
