I spent the better part of last week out at SRO testing my equipment for imaging galaxies and Mother Nature tried her best to spoil my fun but I managed to collect some ancient photons anyway. Due to wind gusts, passing clouds, bad seeing, dust and the like I had to delete about 30% of my subs but I managed to get some reasonable images of NGC3718 and NGC5033 with the AT10RC "Galaxy Canon" and my ASI-533MC-Pro. The images are a bit soft due to the seeing and that I did not get nearly as many subs as I wanted. Captured and processed with Astro Art 7
NGC3718 28 x 180 seconds (1.4 Hours total)
NGC5033 73 x 180 Seconds (3.65 Hours total)
I will be shooting more subs of both these galaxies and others with interesting structure when we go out to western NM next month.
