It’s a Carton mount, probably for a 60mm.

I agree it looks like 60mm, thanks.

It's a Carton and they are good.

Yes it's a 60mm and I would buy it in a flash if I was near.

I don't really need a 60mm mount, but I'm tempted anyway.

I figured that out many years ago.  Now I just contribute to the posts and have stopped buying.  People were calling me a hoarder. lol.gif

I'm a bit of a hoarder with all my hobbies. But not like you see on TV. But I've certainly filled the house pretty good. If I didn't have a wife and kids, well, then it probably would be like you see on TV lol.gif

Tucson, Vintage C8, looks to be in good shape, wedge, tripod, trunk with lock that hasn’t been jimmied, only a 40mm Kellner included, a bit overpriced by pre-Covid standards

Meade SN6.   However kook at the televue eyepieces in the case.    $325

Ahhh!  Annoying.  I like those mounts, for short refractors!  And the eyepieces are very nice.  What a bargain!

This is me. My signature doesn't contain all my eyepieces or binoculars.  I bought that Coulter 10.1 in the last thread. Then I saw the overpriced Polaris mount, and DIDN'T buy it. But I DID found a nice one nearby with a scope for a very tempting price, which is now mine. I have some star testing to do. These threads are dangerous. My wife hasn't killed me yet, party because I sold a scope last month.

I hear ya. I've had to curtail any new "big" purchases since I've reached my space limit on sizable newts for my household. However, I've discovered the glory of little scopes and how nicely they fill in the gaps, especially if they come in kits, it's like a game of Tetris!

I'm like, that little cased scope would fit PERFECTLY between the ATCO box and the ED 8! ZOUNDS! What's the bidding at? UGH! "Buy it now?", Really?

On it goes... nuff said.

p.s. - 'ol Tin-Tin is safe in the stable and I see "Snubby" is on its way due on the 10th... I'm calling it a late bday present. cool.gif

If this doesn't make you wish that you were in Japan not much will. LOL

This one has a good bidding war going on. IF I had the money and IF I were actually interested I MAY bid on it. Fortunately, I don't and I'm not. WHEW!

BHWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Now this is an interesting oddball! It’s a Mizar/Hino Cat. Looks like a Maksutov variant as the correction lens system in the back:

https://www.cloudyni...izar-altair-15/

Perfect for someone who loves an odd and rare bird, and especially a Mizar fan. I think we know who I’m talking about. wink.gif

It’s a Corrected Dall-Kirkham design — same as the Kenko 125C that I had — correcting lens assembly in the primary mirror’s baffle.  Better than an SCT for planetary, easier to collimate than the Vixen VMC 200L (field Maksutov).  RARE in the USA, and this one is the older color scheme that matches the first Mizar AR-1 EQs.

I wondered what was going on with the primary's baffle. Cool looking scope, but it seems like a lot of central obstruction. Also, looks like the mirror has some small issues at the edges. At a much lower price, it might be fun.

That is nice. One of those scopes where you bump up the power and the image gets bigger and remains sharp.  Great optics.

NH NEWT

The seller misread misread the name on  the clock drive, it's  A. W. Haydon.  A. W. Haydon was a clever dude, if interested check out his Wikipedia page.  One tidbit: he sold his company to Phillips for a cool $1 million back in 1951, when that was a lotta money.

This scope looks like another one that was kicking around here on the classic site not so long ago...but maybe old scopes like this look more alike than not.

It may have been Terra's suggestion   but   after a certain amount    One scope comes  in one scope goes out    ....

Yes  I remembered that   thanks  and congrats

knew it was yours   no doubt you have more than one telescope we like

Can't imagine what it is going to be like when you list a few more here on cloudy nights

Speaking of Unitron scopes and parts  wonder how this would be as a finder for my new old Pentax 75 edhf  older Unitron finder  probably should be reunited with a Unitron though
