Here is something different: SNS 60/750. 10€. In picture 2, by enlarging the image and using a strong magnifying glass, I can see the manufacturer's logo, but it is one I have never seen before.

Does anybody have an idea who made 60/750 scopes? I am considering buying it, but I don't want to drive all the way up there for a junk scope. Thanks if anyone can help me out here.

Way too much for a 4" when a 4" Tak is half the price.

It would be comparable if Tak had ever made a TOA-100

Put in an unblock request 2 days ago on the NA140SSf, although from the posts I've read out and about for this and the NA120, try-before-buy is wise and have a filter ready for planets. Still waiting to hear back on the UR. It's a skip, but best to be prepared.

Sky90 is kind of nice. 121 bids so far, only 2 be's mine... it's a three-birds (Tak, 90, FL) one bid deal, but @ f/5.5, so no.

a Vix FL90 or FL102 is the goal - that and a nice Vix R1XXs sledder.

-= Vixen D = 100 mm F = 1000 mm Lens barrel =- f/10 Reflector target of opportunity - which should be a "Polaris R-100L" (I think) but can only see the "P" on that part of the label - actually have spares for that, it has rings and they only asked ¥4,500, so it's gone.

I am scared of buying a SKY90 as i am not gonna collimate a refractor.

you do not collimate the lens, you send it in for that.  You do collimate the focuser and lens cell to each other which is really simple to do.

Even Goodwill is shying away from the high cost of shipping these days.

I just sent an “I’ll take it” to the seller. Was looking for a larger aperture scope to leave at the beach. The 5” sct just isn’t big enough to take advantage to of super dark skies.

True statement, and if it was never sent back to Tak to get retrofitted with the “collimatable” cell, you can’t collimate it at all.

The “fine” print says if you want the box for the OTA and mount, make that $1675.

Take it all for $1975 plus $200 shipping.  $2175. Rrreally? What a deal!

because otherwise:

$1249 for OTA  & Box + $125 shipping = $1374

$975 for Mount & Box + $125 shipping = $1100

                                                           ---------

                                                  Total   $2474

Like buying a Pick Up Truck, the way it grows... Take the package - you do save 300 bones-clams-smackers! Can't wait for pictures...

I almost winced at ¥5,000 for a -=Mizar AR equatorial mount=-  but no CWs and Legs included actually made me happy. Missing a hub bolt & slo-mos as well, tsk-tsk. I have CWs, Legs, short slow-mo's and maybe even that hub bolt already. Not original, but do I care? "No, Sir - Thanks for asking. Next!" It'll work and for a pittance - smooth Mizar mount action is what we're after!

Sooo much really FuN sTuFf out there!  Finally got the Unblock on the -=NA140SSf=- after sending a 2nd request after earlier post. Someone go get it! ¥96,000 with no bids yet and 21 hrs remaining! Rescue-Save it! It's the Last One! Buy it Lunch! I know V 140s go back aways, but I thought I was looking at a new NA140SSf around 2017 on Vixen America? "Ooo!" I said, "Neo Achro Petzval - what's that about?!" Might've been a used one on OPT or some such...

I like the fact that the OTA could be sold separately     seeing as I have this great Unitron 150 mount here with  nothing to ride on it.....except the Fs-128      Iwould like to see the pics     would like to approximate its age as well    what were the straight leg models anyway? Is that a clue as to age?

Just the mount head, no legs, no slow-mo cables sold on Ebay for about $600.

I sold a 150 mount and strong homemade tripod recently for $450. The tube and cradle I sold a couple of years ago for $600. FWIW.

Check out the casting of the tube clamp and it's knobs and compare with the link below. Possibly a Mogey!

http://davetrott.com...pe-restoration/

90% sure the OTA & EQ are Mogey.  Mods & re-paints!  1920s / 1930s 3" Astro w/ Finder.

NEVER in Bama!

After more inspection I'm now 100% sure. The patten and use of capstan bolts on the tube clamp to the mount is another clue.

Then I found this photo from a Mogey catalog with the same tripod legs.

2 Mogeys.jpeg

The one on the right.

It's a bad photo but the lighting and shadows indicate the way the legs are open at the top and  the lower portion is filled but recessed.
