I have one of the AM scopes and got a .96 to 1.25" adapter and put an old 7.5mm plossl in it (triocular port) for high power without exchanging the .5 reducer in stead of the inserting the 2 x magnifier. Works well and the EP is just an off brand plossl. Tried a 12mm ultima and barlow but just too big. I think it's probably around 150/200X.

It would be interesting to try that with a 70 or 80 degree afov astronomy eyepiece.
