Has anyone used this?  Is there any concern about max current required from the USB connection?

Thanks for any comments,

David

Thanks.

Do you have it plugged into a laptop USB, a powered USB hub, or something like the Pegasus Power/USB box?

I have one on my Tak TSA-120 refractor and love it.  I have a Pegasus powerbox and plug the EAF into that.  Works very well.

The current model (at least the two I own) requires 12Vdc so no driving from USB port. The USB-B port on the focuser is for communication only.

There is a new version coming up that will be 5Vdc driven thru USB-B port as advertised on the ZWO page. Their current draw will be limited to what the USB can provide that is a standard/fixed number. I think 1.5A for a charging port but I do not know exactly.

I have one plugged into a raspberry pi running Astroberry - no problems at all.
