I removed my guide scope and camera and went all in on unguided imaging. I don't really mind guiding, but it's nice to know it is not strictly necessary. I got some H-a with 5 minute subs which had perfectly round stars as well, but I did something wrong and they are not flat, so I did not include in the final image.

Bottom line, with this mount and a model, I can image at 860mm FL and up to about 5 minutes with round stars.

Thanks Cougar. Yes. I built a 94 point model in about an hour and have used it for a week or so. I love M 63, but this was a bit of an experiment. Some of the days had terrible seeing, so even though I used about 12 hours of data here, I gathered over 20. It's weird, I had FWHM that were high due to seeing, but eccentricities remained low. Even without the encoders, you could do a model with your 1100 and APCC pro if you have it.

Here is a single HA sub. The stars are *slightly ovoid. I can tweak some things to get the model better.

PS. I looked up winds from the H-A data. 10mph on average

Very impressive, particularly with 10mph winds. That Mach 2 is doing its magic.
