Hi.  We have a Celestron CPC 1100 with A Nextstar hand controller. The scope will go up and down with the arrow keys, but will not rotate around. When engaging the arrow keys it clicks and makes a low buzz, but no movement. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve it? Thanks

Did you tighten the Azimuth Clutch?

The clutch was tight. Is it possible the motor has gone bad?

try connecting using wireless to the Celestron application on your iPad or phone. This way you can determine if the hand controller has the issue or if the mount has the issue. You may need to spend the money for the wireless accessory. I think it is totally worth it. You can also connect a laptop and use stellarium or another app to see as well.

The mount has a built-in PC port that could be used for the cost of a cable.

Does the scope rotate freely in azimuth (clutch disengaged) before powering up?

My Nexstar11 GPS azimuth track was so gunked up it was causing me issues.
