I finally feel I’m polar aligned. My scope is pointed at Polaris. I fired up Stellarium and connected my scope. For some reason Stellarium thinks I’m pointed under the horizon. What do I do now to tell Stellarium, I’m pointed at Polaris?

I am hitting control M and seeing it switch but no indication that it is equatorial or az mount on screen. But, I did reboot everything and now my scope lines up with Polaris on screen.

Three types of settings / changes:

1.  Mount type

2.  Sync with scope (to line up coordinates)

3.  Coordinate system - JNOW vs J2000

i switched over to CDC from Stellarium and loving it - lesser load on computing, easier interface, reasonable level of detail.   But above settings / set up apply to all.

Moving from EAA to Astronomy Software & Computers for a potentially better fit.

Thanks for The suggestion.  I confirmed that was correct.  I shut down everything. Turned everything back on and now my scope is pointing at Polaris.  Now I need to plate solve I think to make the Goto more accurate.
