Hi!

Using a red pastel pen this time, think the sun deserves color! H-alpha, 50x. Got the sky just right for my couple of hours solar observing/sketching window around noon. Clouds before and haze after. Sometimes it's this way around, believe it or not!

Nice !  The eye is very good optical detector !  Your hand seems very good at recording it --

Already discovered though the prominence is pictured a bit small vs the solar limb and earth. Next time I'll estimate how many times of the longer side of the prominence makes the solar radius, not the shorter side, should give more exactness. The math is easy, as my solar radius is 1 meter.

It's about impression. Not good to leave the disc totally blank, not good to color the disc too much when emphasizing the prominence. So you fade it, trying to find the best way...

Sun 09.05.21. 12:00 UT.

+flare ~14:30 UT. The plages quickly changed their shape and brightness, and several bright spots were noticed.

Orientation as in eyepiece+mirror. Lunt 50+Svbony Zoom 7-21.
