Hello My Friends and Happy Mother's Day to the Moms!

I went out Friday night for the first time in over a month. I decided to image M51 again. This is my first attempt at it with a new filter and my new auto focuser, which I LOVE!

Hope you enjoy the image!

Thank you! As for birthing person - in the words of Popeye, "That's all I can stands and I can't stands no more!"

I did exactly the same thing!  lol  My neighbors wanted to do a campfire and admittedly I got a little grumpy about it since Friday was the first perfectly clear night in who knows how long... But I ended up setting it up and letting it go take 60 sec subs of M51 all night and just sat and had a few libations with them.  Turned out ok actually.  This was my first time not babysitting the guiding.  Had to throw away a bunch of subs, but hey... i enjoyed my time anyway.

Nice pic!

Ha! I always have a libation or two whilst scoping. Unfortunately or fortunately, I babysit my guiding and capturing every time I go out, as I travel whenever I image. I don't mind. The need to set up and tear down keeps me very fresh when it comes to the working knowledge of all the gear. Glad you got out!
