I just noticed while processing M64 this odd image to the lower right. I ran it through nova.astrometry.net and it says it's IC 3875. But this looks like it's supposed to be a galaxy. This doesn't look like a galaxy to me but some sort of nebula. But also a spider.

Here's the full image from astrometry. http://nova.astromet...37057#annotated

Thoughts?

I'm loling at the title of your post. Since I cant l.m.a.o...

Definitely doesn't look like a galaxy to me and I can see the shape of the spider as I look at it, but I'll let someone who knows what IC3875 looks like chime in on that one!

Being only 12" x 12" in size, more integration time (and probably a larger scope) would yield this:

Look closely at the astrometry.net image. IC3875 is the tiny green dot near your mystery object, not your "spider". It's a very dim (16), small (0.3 arcmin) object. Unfortunately I have no idea what your mystery object is.
