Poor seeing around 6:15 pm (May 14 PDT) when I captured this (sunset was 8:39 pm), not helped by a breeze causing vibrations or that the planet was hovering over my neighbour's roof. At least it was easy enough to find after first aligning on the nearby crescent Moon. I consider any image of Mercury an achievement, so I'm not disappointed that this shows no real surface details. There was a very strong edge rind that I tried to mitigate, but wasn't 100% successful. Conditions are expected to improve over the next two days, and then my little 3-day Mercury season will probably be done.
