I don’t have a Vixen refractor but, I always felt they were incredibly
attractive scopes. I often think I need a 103s or 115s.

I’ve had a number of Vixens and am very much enjoying my current keepers, my ED102SS 102mm F6.5 from around 2000 and my Vixen 102S F6.7 Petzval made just a couple of years earlier (both from Japan). Here’s the ED102SS:

Unable to show you anything yet, but I do lust after a 70mm fluorite. It'll happen...

Vixen 'scopes have always seemed to me to offer fine quality with decent prices.
The 4 inch, Celestron branded f/13 achromatic refractor I used to own performed beautifully and I miss it dearly. The orange tube color really appealed to me for some reason and at the time, it was the biggest refractor I had ever seen! Sounds corny, but it made me feel special when I used it.
I would likely give up all of my current telescopes if I could find another.

Guys, I am a Taka fan but I love vintage Vixen too! They are correlated to my boy’s dreams when I was drooling in front of optics’ shops selling these expensive wonderful gears...here my most beloved vintage Vixen: 90L f14! I could not afford them then but now these wonderful scopes are reachable.....

The AX103S has always interested me.
Same here, and it was 1 of the 4" APOs that I gave serious thought to before buying my Classic FC-100. I'm a Vixen Fan for sure - 3 black tubes & 2 white tubes:
- C4.5 on Polaris (real sleeper!)
- First Scope C80P OTA (still have)
- SP-C102 OTA (still have)
- VMC200L OTA
- FL80S (shoulda kept!)
I liked both so much that I had the tubes powder-coated.

Love Vixen refractors.....
The C-102 was very good I have had two
The C-80 is a really good and so easy to move around the yard. I have had two and still have one
Now the Fluorite Vixen scopes are simply very special
The C-102fl for me is an obvious keeper. Solid legendary performer in easy lightweight package
The vixen 80fl was so sharp and maintained its steady crisp image as power increased and continued to increase a true stand up fluorite
Btw we just love the classic Vixen white and Vixen green gray trim color scheme just lovely
Adding pics......

Glad you like it Al
It sure is a great performer and the Vixen 80fl does great on just about everything and it is a very nice sweeper with a wide field eyepiece

I use my Vixen NA140SSF (7 Kg only) with night vision in the city (with filters) and it is wonderful. Also best for me in dark sky for wide field views.
For planets in the city I have a TAK FC-100DC and a C9.25.
