Listed yesterday.  Looks like a spotting scope in a very fancy violin case. I can't make out the brand

That is an NG 30x50 spotting scope made in China. They are popular in Australia & reported to have fine optics.

Spokane WA for $100. I think its a Celestron Firstscope. I like the clamshell. She measured the objective at 50mm. I would drive out there if it was a Vixen.

Cottageville, SC. Looks to be in rough shape but may be a royal astro scope, and for $50 if I were closer I’d have to take a look. Unfortunately, the seller is unable to provide additional photos, as I inquired about the information badge and objective and was told to come look in person.

Update: the seller did follow up with some photos and gave me permission to share them. Scope is pretty rough but might be a good project for the right person. PM me if you’re interested in seeing the photos.

How the heck can you do that when it has the corrector built into the stock focuser?!

The corrector is not built into the focuser. The corrector is in front of the secondary. The secondary and corrector are all one unitized assembly.  The mount and OTA parts are worth the price.

Serious Cave Astrola, nice price, DEC drive, I've already requested to look at it.

Never can tell when there might be a surprise and it would just be FUN to go look at it.

I already have a 1958 10" F7 Cave, and 8" Cave, $450 in good function.

I don't see a makers mark on the focuser. I wonder if that's just the camera angle or what?

These didn’t have one on the label. It’s probably Towa, as most Tanzutsus had oversized dewshields and Daiichi had slip over focusers and plastic lens cells attached with screws.

No makers mark , Just " Made in Japan " , but it does have the knurled aluminum machined focuser knobs that come on better models ...

You are correct! You would think I would know this since I own one.
