For us deep sky observers, the full moon is the bane of our existence. So, I bought a full moon simulator from Amazon. 

 

Full moon when it is directly overhead on the one clear night of the month

Now, here is the full moon when it is rising

But it doesn't end there. You can even pretend you live on a planet orbiting an O-type supergiant.

Or, for something different, you can just as easily be a citizen of the exoplanets orbiting Proxima Centauri.

I printed the smallest one as a Christmas ornament, and it came out quite nice.  With the light turned out, it just appears as a white ball, the features are actually on the inside.
