I have had nothing but trouble trying to use PHD2 with my CEM40EC.  While I can use the mount without PHD2 to get good results for up to 4 or 5 minute exposures, I can't Dither or use my SCT at much longer focal lengths without using PHD2. Since the calibration attempts have not worked for me and PHD2 goes wacky after about 5 to 15 minutes after start, I'm suspicious that it is a problem interacting with the EC function in the mount?  So to test this, is it possible to just turn off the EC function in this mount, I don't see how to?

I'm not aware of function to turn EC of.
At least not in my CEM60EC.
But I have no problem calibrating it, doing long exposures with (10 min @ 1300mm) or dithering.
So I think it's a problem with PHD and/or settings.
