Hi, I'm new to this whole astronomy and astrophotography thing and just experienced my first night out forgetting my SD card.

I have a nexstar 4SE and I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to using the mount with only a DSLR for widefield photos? This is without the scope.

I imagine there is some sort of dovetail bracket that would fit the bill but I don't know where to start looking.

There's also this:

EDIT: I have not used either so can't comment on that.

Moving from Mounts to Equipment for a potentially better fit.

SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Dec Bracket is another option, allows you to balance using a counterweight.
