Here is an H-Alpha image of the Elephant's Trunk and the rest of the IC 1396 nebula.

 

7.5 hours of data, three minute sub exposures

305mm Riccardi-Honders @ f/3.7

AP1100GTO AE unguided (APCC with a good pointing model)

QHY600M camera with Astrodon 3nm filter

 

Calibrated with flats, flat darks, and a master dark frame

Six panel mosaic resulting in a square image (3x2 panels with 2:3 aspect ratio chip)

 

I like black and white images in general, and was happy with how this one came out.
