help! lens focus ring slips

on my canon 70D, when the lens focus is set to manual, its hard to keep the focus ring from slipping ... any suggestions?

A lot of people will tape their focus ring once they find focus. You could give that a shot.

And autofocus is not likely to work, so manual it is.

Blue painter’s tape. Sticks well, doesn’t leave a residue.

Tape is the most common fix for this.

I've also heard people use a wide rubber band.

These folks make a product aimed at stopping zoom creep, it may work just as well for focus creep?
