Thought I would try a Bodes Only capture, keeping the data for possible integration into a mosaic.

This is 270 Lights looked horrible with calibration frames in Siril, but will restack and post further edits..  This is my 8th iteration in the past 4 days trying to get the data right, but my post work well, still needs a lot of work.

270 Lights 120s @ ISO1600 with RC6/F9 scope.

Standard Siril Photoshop for this image.

Quite beautiful. I love the violet highlights in the outer bands.  Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic!  Really nice detail and color.

Now I see how many light frames I really need to get an image like this.  I've got a stack of 69 and I can barely bring out anything except the core.

I wonder what's going on with your calibration frames.  I've got a set of darks and flats I made with Siril and they seem to be OK.  I've been using the first set of steps listed here:

Not saying it's right for anyone else, or that I actually understand what I'm doing... tongue2.gif

In any case, thanks for sharing and inspiring, as always!

Thank you.  Yeah, I am really not sure.  I even did the Darks, Flats, Bias right after my last round, and the stack, on very small stretch reveals a lot more noise, and banding, but less gradient.  When I stack only flats and bias, much of the same, when I just stack without calibration I get the harsh circle gradient at the outer edges but the center looks fantastic.  The subractive part of the stack just comes out horrible.  Mind you, this is only in Siril and haven't restacked in DSS.  Which is my next test, and I am saving all of the Fits Result Files to compare later.

I'm okay enough with masking in photoshop to get the job done for something semi acceptable for my taste, but really would like better.
Seeing and moon as been detrimental, but tracking has been good, and camera temp hovers between 72-84 degrees F .

Thank you so much...  Going to to keep at it, but its time to change scopes out and use try the use of a flattener on the Svbony 80ED and start shooting with the Canon M6ii full spectrum.   Good times.. :)

Clear Skies !!
