My first time imaging this area last night.  Going to go at it again after getting a wider field of view, if all goes well.

Such a beautiful target.

Svbony 503 80ED, Lenhance dual bandpass filter, Orion Field Flattener for short refractors, +8mm spacer
76x2min @ iso 3200, Canon M6ii Modified, no FDB. Dithered after every 5th.
Svbony 305pro guidecam and Svbony 106, 60mm guidescope.
Platesolved, PHD2 multistar, APT, Stellarium on iOptron CEM25p Mount.
Run remotely on a mini PC running windows10.

Thank you !!
Pretty much stuck with the Siril Photometric color correction with a slight adjustment to the blue channel.

I'm calling it quits for now on the SV60EDS, it just is really horrible imagery, it is great visually, but the stars just won't focus no matter the spacing of my flatters.

Very nice image. That Svbony 503 doublet seem to do a good job. I was once offered to test it out by the company but never got my hands on it, the offer got lost in the pile of emails.

And I see that the 8mm spacer works great, I've just ordered some M42 spacing rings for my new scope, can't wait to point it at the Cygnus part of the sky.

Hey thank you.  I'm really diggin on the Svbony.  Wish they had a good 60mm f5.5.  My current scope I think is really doing good.  Even before the field flattener, but now its even better, so I am pretty happy about that.  I really wanted a wider field of view without using my camera lenses, but I am thinking I may just have finish making my EOS-M to EOS Lens filter slider, so I can use my 2" filters with my Canon Lenses.  I have seen a few people posting home printed solutions, but I do not trust the structural integrity of that material for sheering type forces.

This ED60 is so bad, I just can't even put it on classifieds.  Will keep it for posterity. lol

I don't see no 'Muricans!

Nice shot. You do need something a little wider tho, time to buy another telescope! grin.gif The Astro Tech AT60ED would frame it pretty well.

Yup...if you're going after widefield targets, 560mm is a bit long. A 60-70mm f6 is a nice sweet spot.

I'm definitely going to get wider, and I knew it was going to be...Not how I wanted to compose the DSO, but my efforts with SV60EDS have been horrible, so I am trying to finish my modding project to get a filter drawer on my M6ii to mount my lenses to.  It has just been way too hot in the garage, so its been on the back burner.  Trying to image at night anyway to keep the flow going.

Thank you !!

You could get a reducer for the SVBONY, that should do it, and get you extra light to boot. A cheaper and better route I think.

I think the reducer could introduce too much vignetting on my APSC, not that it would be a huge problem.  I think the reducer would get me at around 440mm focal view, but I really need 300-360 or so, more than that limits too many objects, and less makes for tiny objects.  I don't have money for a new scope, so I think I am going to be back to camera lenses for some of these objects, just need to finish my filter slider.

I was going to also mention using a camera optic if you have something in the 300mm range.
