Can look at your image for a long time to enjoy the detail and lightness of touch.

Nice! Did you run photometric color correction in Siril? Every time I do (and it actually works), it always gives everything what I feel is a warm hue. BTW, how are you plate solving?

I prefer more contrast and color of course, I cooled your colors down and brought up contrast and saturation on your file here, what do you think?

The sky conditions are normally Bortle 6.  Out of the two nights imaging this target I had one night sky that was looking pretty clear, the second night had much haze in the air.  I live in a pretty urban orange red area.

It was lightly processed in Siril, and yes color correction.  The photometric has gotten a lot better with this version to the point I can make it one of the last things I do instead of one of the first.  I love the downsampling which really helps with this.

Platesolved within APT, there are 3 pieces of software that are used and chosen from depending if it is Blind or assisted by mount pointing coordinates.
It has been dead on accurate, and pretty quick.

I like your edit, and my first edits were very bright and contrasty, but I like the subleness of easy flowing contrasts that show the range of color across the greater gamut.
This allows makes it easier for me to identify and details without the strong sudden appearances of the shapes and colors.  My vision is horrible and it is out of habit I want strong contrast and bright colors, and need to fight those instincts for what I find enjoyable.

Thank you !!
Clear Skies !!

Are you using an online astrometry database, or did you download one? Why would you need 3 separate apps? I have to use a Windows setup for my Nikon D5100 and V3 cameras with BackyardNikon, and I need to plate solve in Windows. Does APT download an astrometry database? Thanks.

Nice shot!
Been working on that area myself before the clouds rolled in. Might be back in business this week.

I just followed a guide that showed how to install the software and some hints and tips on setting up the astrometry database.  There is an installation guide on stargazers lounge.
It is one of the better ones.  Follow this guide with APT and you'll be fine.  Also, Nina should work in windows and also platesolves, but I just prefer the APT because it takes a lot less brain power to use.  Good stuff.
Here is the link to the guide, and if if you need, I have screen captured it as a JPG but way too large to post here.

I'm in it for 3 nights now, tonight will be the 4th, and am gathering data in just straight up RGB, switching out the full spectrum camera for the standard, and filter will most likely be moon and skyglow.  It will be my 2nd attempt at trying HO+RGB, in a more broadband kind of way.  Could be fun.

Hope you get some skies soon, the last two night have been 8 to 15mph winds, but I shot anyways and still have round stars so a bit lucky.. :)

Clear Skies !!
