Is there a way to turn on the LXD mount RA drive motor without using the Audiostar alignment procedure?

I use Polemaster to accomplish this.
I simply want to track using RA.

Good day,

I use an Autostar controller and ETX70 mount as a camera tracker, I just switch on and press "mode" four times after I have polar aligned the mount and then it tracks.

PS The controller has to be set to polar, I think with a LXD mount this is the only option, and your site must be in the right hemisphere, the rest do not matter.

Gday Chasm

As you have an Audiostar, i have to ask what firmware is loaded????

( as the later versions dont start tracking at boot )

As long as the mount is set to an LXD type mount,

then after booting and setting the date/time etc,

use "setup -> targets" to set the mount to "astronomical"

and it will start tracking.
