Got my Dob on June 18th and since then I've only had the chance to get out once and that was with the Meade because conditions didn't warrant dragging the bigger one out.

Ahh. So that that's the reason why we've been in a cloudy and rainy spell for most of July.smile.gif

I have aquired something and had not so bad weather. Maybe the effect went over the Atlantic, like the butterfly effect? Sorry.

We've had no less than two months of absolutely cloudless days here in Oregon.  My Orion 8" Cass showed up yesterday.....and so did the clouds.  It's clear this morning so maybe it was just a teaser :)

Oh, don't blame yourself. You surely know that butterfly effect on weather?

I'm sure something as modest as binoculars purchase could have caused all that...

The ordinary of life crept like gray upon the sunny day
The seeds of discontent were sprouting
A thought at first, and then a wan hope.
It came to me in the cloud of inspiration.

Why not an Ethos 10?, I mused,
And then was taken.  Why not?
No rest til the precious thing

I held in my covetous grasp.

On the heels of fruition,
With the bauble barely fitted beside the lesser jewels,
Dropped the early and extended
Monsoon season.

So I wander among the forums
Listening to the voices of those
Who, inside with me, gaze out
At the slowly rolling clouds.
