Somewhat of a newbie to visual solar observing, so bear with me.

I am enjoying white light solar in an 80mm scope with a Herschel wedge.

My question is: Is there a visual solar finder I can mount on or at my AT80´s

dew shield?

Have been using the Tele Vue Sol Searcher, *at the back of the scope, i.e.

on the focuser* and it is quite easy to get the Sun in view.

Trying to avoid UV on my chrome-dome, so today got a  TGSO - Telegizmos

Solar Observing hood.  So far like it, but it obviously blocks the Sol

Searcher when i wrap it around the scope and if I put it on after I line

up the Sun with the finder, it moves the Sun out of the FOV.

Theoretically, I can tighten up my mount to hold position before I put

the TGSO on, but i´d prefer to leave it on the scope, behind the dew

shield, and have a finder outside the TGSO.

My best idea so far is to get a 14" Vixen plate, which will stick out at the

objective end of the scope, and mount the Sol Searcher there.

Any other thoughts?

You might check this out, it uses an elastic bungee to attach anywhere on the scope.  I use one on the dew shield of my 80 mm.
