Testing out the new CMOS-Optimized Baader NB filters (HA-3.5nm, OIII 4nm) on M27. 

 

Equipment:

C8 Edge HD,

QHY 268M,

EQ6R-Pro,

Celestron OAG+ASI120MM.

 

Acquisition:

N.I.N.A

High Gain Mode Gain 56

HA: 24x600s 

OIII:22x600s

 

Processing:

PixInsight

Pixelmath: R:HA, G:60%HA+40%OIII,B:OIII

 

PAE:1.55"

Average RMS(0.54",0.43")->TotalRMS: 0.69"

Average FWHM 2.42"

Moon 82%

HOO version w/RGB stars looks "Crisp", and if I had a favorite of all your renditions that would be it😁. I'm liking all of them, though, so a 👍👍👍👍👍👍 for each of them😁! Great grab of data and processing.

Amazing work!! All of the versions look great, but my favorite is the HA,0.6HA+0.4OIII,OIII.

Second, how do you like these new ultra narrowband Baader Filters in general?

 

Third, I am from Luzern. How on Earth did you manage to get 8hours of data? It feels like it was raining the last two months non stop! crazy.gif

I am quite happy with them, but I could not really test them out that much, as the weather situation is quite horrendous. I hope to test them out on target with a bright star soon, to see if there is any haloing.

There were 2-3 good nights after the continious rain stopped(19/20/21.07), maybe I was just lucky to be situated in Bern^^.
