With thanks to Bill Weir,

The riddle has been solved, in the red corner "The SIPS" at svelte 369 grams ........ vs  ..... in the Blue corner "Paracorr2" at an obese 386 grams

Thanks Bill waytogo.gif

I weighed my Paracorr 2 at 365 grams.

I removed the brass compression ring and replaced the thumbscrews with nylon thumbscrews so that must be reason for the 21 gram weight difference.

Hmm.  TeleVue says 500g, but I think that includes the adapter.

I get 380g on my gram scale for a brand new one right now, no adapter or bottom cap.
