My single shots have taken me also to partial disc takes, surprised how well they came out even though single stacked. But there was some nice activity coming through! Prom was in the SW. Both are from after noon local time, as always, as my viewing window is around two hours from the balcony. Used ASICap (starting to like that little program), disc with plain camera and prom with x2 barlow. Waiting for a x3 barlow, for getting a few more pixels into the close-ups.

For single photos, they didn't look bad.
Especially that of the active region.
However, I recommend that you try to make a simple movie, you will immediately see the improvement after the stack.

Thanks for the advice! Stacking is something I really have to look into. Hope to learn something from trying to pic the best out of 30-50 shots though, I'm still kind of manual smile.gif. So taking small videos, but watching them as single shots, looking for some frozen seeing...

Ok,
but if you let the program do the boring work (video recording) and then stack the best frames with Autostakkert3, the results will not fail.
I found this little manual, maybe for your ASIcap it can be useful to you.

Got the disc photo a bit enhanced by Windows, putting the Clarity function at max:

Think this is about as far as Windows can take me, will look into GIMP for enhancement. But already this is encouraging! Almost like getting a double stack.

Try autostakkert3 and registax6, both free programs and use Gimp for the final touch.

Nice pictures by the way waytogo.gif

Think I have my program lineup kind of ready: FC, AS!, ImPPG, GIMP.

So far it's more or less just the "primitive" ASICap... thanks for the encouragement!
