Front walls are being constructed as a very early monsoon pattern sets up in the sky. Traditionally, May and June are very dry and warm with monsoon kicking in sometime around July 4th. We're about 6-7 weeks early and as much as we need the rain, the construction crews are hoping for very little.

This year's strange weather patterns in AZ continue.
Of course, unpredictable weather in Flag is nothing new. My senior year up there, we still had snow piled up some places during graduation ceremonies (IIRC, we had snow during finals week that year).

Everything, everywhere, all at once...
The photos will be on two separate posts today.
Our project manager, Dave Sawyer reports:
The ADC building site is a hive of activity as there were nine different trades working there this week - see attached photos.
Excavation is back installing the main electrical power pads and water lines, grading the service access road, and completing the foundation backfill.
Extra credit: how many lifts can you count in the attached photo "lift demolition derby"?"
Interior stud walls are well underway in the astronomy gallery, and the plumbers and electricians are right behind them roughing in the utilities.

Update Part 2
The masons have nearly completed the block walls, with the last of the main south entrance closing in. Steel decking for the third floor lobby was stud-welded in preparation for pouring those floors next week. HVAC air handlers and ducting are being installed, along with piping for the fire sprinkler system.
The Front entrance and cafe.
The Grand Staircase is taking shape.
