Hi All,

I was lucky enough to get a Focus Motor for my birthday (I did ask for it lol.gif ) and I'm about to install. I've watched a few videos and it looks pretty straight forward. My question is regarding storing/transport. I have a Celestron C11 with a AVX mount. I like to break it down for storage and have a lovely padded bag for the OTA.

It seems the only way I can safely store & transport the OTA is to remove & install the focus motor as part of my set up routine each time.

Does anyone have any comments, best practices that I should be aware of ? - Although its only a few bolts it does seem a bit drastic to have to remove the focus motor each time.

Cheers

I really don't think you want to do that. The install isn't too difficult but not something I would want to repeat. And you would also have to repeat the calibration procedure each time.
