All images taken around 5am this morning, I felt it did well, chip appears to be same quality as the 462-c 180mm mak

It’s interesting, I have a 2,4 and 8 megapixel cam now and each give the moon a unique perspective, you would think you could just use the 8 and crop to match the other two but it does not work out that way…. Jury is still out for whether the player one cam could actually replace the 462c, the 485 couldn’t even though it’s got 2.9 sized pixels also, I’ve never been able to zoom in to the same frame size as the 462 and feel like I had the same resolution…. Not sure why

Great images

My 290MC already had 2.9 micron pixels so I won't increase resolution but I would like the increased chip area for lunar images.

Well the 485 is a 4K chip for 100 more, I like it… if you search for that camera you may see some of my images with it….. I’m not positive the 464 is as good as the 462 yet…. On paper it is but I’ve taken better photos than I did this morning with the 462, could have been weather or focus… so many variables it’s hard to compare after just one session. As far as 485… because it’s a bigger chip your FPS drops to 45…. But I would not use it for planets anyway… just lunar and deep sky

My 290MC already had 2.9 micron pixels so I won't increase resolution but I would like the increased chip area for lunar images.

It’s graduated to be my primary cam on my 180 mak, I think you will be pleased, it’s seems to be doing well on planets also

Excellent images!

My first daytime Moon is not so good but I'll post something up anyway.
