Hi,

I am using a Stellarmate to control my TTS-160 mount but am getting the following error messages in the INDI control panel when I connect to the mount.

2021-08-02T10:02:58: [ERROR] Error setting UTC Offset.
2021-08-02T10:02:53: [ERROR] Error setting site longitude coordinates

2021-08-02T10:02:43: [ERROR] Failed to get tracking frequency from device.
2021-08-02T10:02:38: [ERROR] Failed to get site name from device
2021-08-02T10:02:33: [ERROR] Failed to retrieve time format from device.
2021-08-02T10:02:28: [INFO] LX200 Classic is online.

Does anyone know if this is normal with an INDI based controller or am I doing something wrong?

Everything appears to work fine. It is just that I am wondering why I get these messages.

Best Regards,

William

From the looks of it the connection was not successful and the last line 'is online' a lie.

Did you configure the serial port speed to 9600 8N1 ?

Hi Hans,

Thanks for the hint. The Stellarmate can control the mount, so I don't think that is the issue.

All data on the mounts hand controller is correct, lat/long etc., so I think it is just a driver issue on the Stellarmate. It has no effect on normal operation.

Thanks,

William

Weird that you'd get 5 errors first and that after those the other commands to control the mount all just work.

I'm curious to see a debug level logfile that shows the raw LX200 protocol commands and the mounts' reponses.

Maybe post a question on the libindi forum too to ask if there are others that use a TTS-160 with INDI and if they too have these issues ?
