CPC800 Drift Issue

I have a 10 year old CPC800 with StarSense. The StarSense HC, Camera and MC are all at the latest firmware. After a successful StarSense alignment, I select an object (e.g., Arcturus) which is perfectly centered in the FOV. However, almost immediately, the object starts to drift out of the FOV. In fact, in about a minute or two the object has drifted several degrees out the FOV and continues to drift. The drift is with the ALT axis. The AZ axis appears to be true. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. As an FYI, this issue commenced on an earlier rev of the StarSense HC firmware. Thanks.

does the mount track properly without StarSense?

I had that same problem with my Evolution.   It eventually went back for repair under warranty.   They don't tell you what was wrong, just (hopefully) fix it.
