How is the 40mm tripod better for astronomy than other commercial 40mm video tripods? Example 40mm tripods: Leofoto LN-404C, Artcise AS95C, Innorel RT90C.

Much more steady. But this is a short tripod.

The rates do not change much but yes, it's more reliable. Last time it took 3 weeks.

You're not supposed to.   If you want adjustable height, you'd use the steady tripod with an adjustable column.

I have no connection whatsoever with MoreBlue.  Just a happy customer.

Apologies as I dont speak or read japanese, but I hear a lot about moreblue's thicker carbon fiber tripods.

Is it true they dont ship it to the us ?

Do you, by chance, know who's making these sturdier carbon fiber tripods ?

Hi are these mounts and columns still available, and in which sizes? Thanks, Peter

Also can you tighten the column when at its proper height or do the ball beharing provide enough stabiliteit?

Yes, mounts only in 50mm diameter.

The column automatic locks itself.

Hello!

I am interested in purchasing one of these tripods with the geared column.

Could you please send me a specification sheet and price, and how to order it?

I am very confused by the moreblue site.

Thanks so much!

Richard
